Phantom Gin Spirit of Knysna

Knysna is home to the haunting beauty of Africa’s southernmost Afromontane forest. Deep within the forest a creature known only to this part of the world exists - the Phantom Moth. Phantom is named after this ghost moth and pays tribute to the wild spirits that dwell in this delicate ecoregion. From the majestic elephants whose trails are long forgotten to the slow-footed dwarf chameleon and regal Knysna Lourie to name a few. This contemporary style gin is crafted from botanicals sourced from Knysna and infused with natural fulvic trace minerals that lend to its unique earthy colour and offer you a taste of the ancient forest.

Phantom Gin Brenton Blue Butterfly

Knysna is home to the majestic coastal dunes of Brenton-on-Sea in the Western Cape of South Africa. It is here, amongst the fragrant fynbos and thickets under the shaded sanctuary of the indigenous trees, that another phantom creature exists - the Brenton Blue Butterfly. This gin pays tribute to the endangered Brenton Blue Butterfly and its endearing story. This Contemporary gin focuses on elevating the traditional flavours of a London Dry Gin with naartjie, cardamom and pink peppercorns with the introduction of unique flora qualities from the addition of lavender. Phantom Craft is a small company of individuals who create unique spirits & products of the handcrafted kind. Based in the coastal town of Knysna in the Western Cape of South Africa.

We started Phantom Craft with the hope to create spirits that are aesthetically unique and carefully crafted to offer enchanting flavours. All our products are created in-house from concept and design to recipe development. We distill our spirits with Hope Distillery in Salt River Cape Town.
